I am not sure of the material this bud vase is made of. You can not see through it when held up to the light at all, so that makes me think it's not glass. It feels like glass, but when you thump on it, it does not sound like glass. The color is definitely black, it is intricately carved with flowers and designs on the corners. Item is shaped like an inkwell or a small bud vase.
