Schlitz Beer Mug 1898-1901 Pre-Prohibition by Thuemler Manufacturing Co. "The Beer That Made Milwaukee Famous"

This pre-prohibition mug would make a great gift for any beer collector! This mug is over 120 years old, the coloring is still in great shape but there is crazing and one hairline, see picture for details.

The mug was produced by Hugo Thuemler Manufacturing Co. from Rochester, Pennsylvania. The ink stamp on the bottom of the mug was used between 1898 - 1901, and the company moved to Pittsburgh in 1901 which changed the stamps. The 10 stamped on the bottom labels it as 10 ounce mug.

Schlitz Brewing Company was started in 1849 and was one of Milwaukee's industrial brewing giants. Schlitz first introduced its belted globe logo in 1892 and its memorable slogan, “The beer that made Milwaukee famous,” in 1894.

Mug measures a little over 4" tall.
