This handcrafted stein depicts basketball's 100-year history from its simple beginning to the fast-paced, hard driving game of today. The detailed illustration captures the early days, when basketballs were sewn with leather stitching and hoops were made by nailing peach bushel baskets to wooden backboards. The game of today features highly trained athletes playing on the polished hardwood floors of contemporary arenas with such modern developments as clear acrylic backboards and electronic scoreboards.
